Not just a workstation...

Most people think that Sardinia is like a giant doughnut:

full around the edges and empty in the middle.
They believe that only the coasts exist, that Sardinians are a seafaring people, and that the only places worth knowing are those surrounded by beaches. But the truth is very different…
The inhabited coastal areas are — in most cases — relatively recent developments, built to accommodate tourism in the 1960s. Many of these seaside towns don’t have a true, rooted community living in them, and when winter comes, they empty out and fall silent, waiting for the next season to bring them back to life.

We’re sorry that so many people who come to Sardinia—whether for a holiday or to live here temporarily—leave without ever noticing the richness of landscapes, nature, history and culture this island holds.
Without meeting our people, without discovering the places that truly belong to us.

For this reason born Ruja. To give you the opportunity live the real Sardinia in a true community of local people – without fictions – and find the peace of mind you need to develop your projects. But also to give us the opportunity to host in Banari a little piece of this big world – meeting, knowing and working with you.

How to book a stay in the Ruja Coworking

Ruja is a rural coworking space created in collaboration with B&B S’Asilo—our family’s guesthouse—and for this reason, it has a hybrid nature. On one hand, we host remote workers from Sardinia and around the world, offering coworking facilities and shared spaces designed to spend the day together. On the other hand, we welcome travelers who embrace responsible, sustainable tourism and are always in search of genuine experiences.

The shared areas—like the kitchen, living rooms, and the garden with a pool—are open to everyone. The coworking space, however, is reserved for remote workers.

You can choose to book just the coworking space, just a room or apartment (all with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and a desk), or combine both services in a tailor-made offer based on your needs and preferences.

We are a small family run business, for this reason bookings are always made directly by contacting us.

A rural coworking space is a place where you can work, meet, and create — but also share moments, experiences, and good food.
Our coworking is not just a workspace; it’s a life project focused on urban, social, and territorial regeneration, hosted in a restored historic building in the heart of inland Sardinia.

Ruja Coworking provides everything you need to work with peace of mind and inspiration.
You have access to a hot desk and can use the office according to the hours included in your plan. A relaxation area, a panoramic terrace, and a coffee corner are also available for you at any time.

The garden with a swimming pool is open from May to October, perfect for a break or even to work outdoors on warmer days.

We recommend booking your desk or meeting room in advance, especially during the spring and summer months, when demand is higher.
You can do this online or by contacting us directly.

However, if you happen to be in the area and need a desk or a good connection for a few hours, you can always drop by: if there’s a desk available, we’ll be happy to welcome you!

You can book directly through the website by filling out the dedicated contact form — you can find it here.
For Hot Desk bookings, there is also an up-to-date calendar on the site, where you can check availability and choose the day and time that suits you best.

Alternatively, you can contact us by email, WhatsApp, or through our social channels. We will get back to you as soon as possible to confirm your booking or provide a personalized quote.

Yes! We have a fast and stable fiber connection, perfect for video calls, remote work, or heavy uploads.
Here are the specs of our fiber: 10 Gbps download and 2 Gbps upload; FTTH technology.

Of course, we offer flexible rates: half-day, full-day, or weekly.
It’s also designed for those who are just passing through for a few days of work, immersed in tranquility.

Public transport in Sardinia isn’t always very convenient, so the best way to get here is by car or private transfer.
If you don’t have a vehicle, we can help you arrange transport to and from the nearest station or airport and assist you with getting around locally.

The village of Banari offers all the necessary amenities: you can do your shopping, grab a coffee at a local bar, meet residents, and take part in festivals and traditional events.
If you love nature and culture, the Meilogu area is full of hiking trails and archaeological sites of rare beauty.
And if you want a break from the quiet countryside, the coast is just 40 minutes away, and the rest of northern Sardinia can be reached in about an hour.
Our location is therefore peaceful yet strategically placed, perfect for combining work and authentic local life.

Yes! In addition to the coworking space, you can stay at our family-run B&B.
This allows you to enjoy a complete experience: work, relax, and immerse yourself in local life without worrying about transportation.

Yes! We offer flexible solutions designed to fit your needs. You can choose from:

  • Monthly subscriptions for Hot Desk or meeting room use.

  • Custom packages based on the duration and frequency of your use.

The coworking is open all year round, except for January and February.
We are still available for special requests or organized events, such as team building activities, so that we can welcome anyone wishing to plan something unique even during the closure period.

The best time to visit depends on what you’re looking for:

Spring and early summer (March–June): mild temperatures, longer days, and a peaceful environment — perfect for focusing on work and enjoying nature, with blooming flowers and green fields.

Summer (July–August): the busiest tourist season, with warm weather, the sea, and many international guests at our B&B. The coasts come alive, and the village of Banari has a special atmosphere thanks to events like the Festa di San Lorenzo and the Golden Onion Festival.

Autumn: September and October are ideal for enjoying the beach while combining work and relaxation. Later in the season, with still-pleasant weather, it’s perfect for exploring and participating in food, wine, and cultural events.

Although winter (January–February) is quieter, the coworking space is closed during these months. We remain available for special requests or organized events.

This allows you to choose the perfect time to enjoy a work experience immersed in the culture and beauty of Sardinia.

Yes! The coworking space is also open to guests of our B&B, located right in the building across the street.
Guests enjoy special rates and priority access to workstations, allowing them to work comfortably during their stay.

Yes! Pets are welcome in certain rooms and in the coworking spaces, as long as they are calm, respectful of the environment, and the facility allows it.
We kindly ask you to let us know at the time of booking, so we can make sure to accommodate you and your pet in the best way.

Yes! We organize and host meetings, workshops, and small corporate events ourselves. These can be paired with cooking classes or local product tastings to make the event even more special.

It is also possible to rent a private room for a day, ideal for meetings or small gatherings. Depending on the type of event, we can host up to 10–20 people.

If you’re looking to organize a larger-scale event in Banari, we still encourage you to contact us, as there are many opportunities for collaboration with other local partners and organizations.

We are located in a small village in inland Sardinia, peaceful and authentic, where life moves slowly and the landscapes invite you to take a break from the routine.

Just a short walk from the coworking space, you’ll find nature trails, bars, a restaurant/pizzeria, a grocery store, a bakery, and a newsstand. The Meilogu area offers all the essential services.
When you arrive, we’ll make sure to provide you with all the information you need, such as local shuttle services, tips for going out to a pub or nearby town, or even a gym membership.

Here, you can focus, breathe, and reconnect with a human rhythm. It’s a coworking space where you can smell freshly baked bread, hear the sound of cowbells, and find the time to truly think — far away from the hectic pace of the city.
